First Show Jumping Lesson

Mooey Ganooey (yep that is Moo’s nickname) πŸ™‚ and I had a show jumping lesson with Louise Light last week.Β  I have always wanted a lesson off her and boom, there she is living right on my door-step. Lucky me πŸ™‚orN38_s-200x150

Moo and I were very happy when we arrived and as per normal Moo was the awesome trying horse with the undying work ethic that he always is.

He truly is a unicorn. I love him x

We started with a warm-up which went really well I thought.

There were other horses and a colt nearby and he took it well for a horse that has never seen a show-jump arena before.

Moo was not having a bar of it to start with. index

He just plainly stopped and wouldn’t move for a while.

Whilst it wasn’t desirable, I did respect his effort as I am a stubborn person also.

With that being said, of course eventually I had the win for the day and Moo did eventually jump a jump. πŸ™‚

And pretty soon it looked like this πŸ™‚

I was super happy and went home feeling like I had jumped the moon. I haven’t actually jumped a horse in a Show Jumping / Cross Country Competition since 2009 so it was awesome to remember that feeling of feeling the freedom that comes with jumping.

I am trying to find him a Cross Country Event to go to and hopefully we can put all these new skills to the test.

Wherever you are in the world today I do hope you are having a wonderful day.
Happy Riding & Keep Smiling

Mel x
